Bringing health and wellness education into schools and making life better for families is top priority for Procter & Gamble and our brands — beinggirl, Always and Tampax. For over 60 years now, we’ve been providing schools with free education curriculums to help bring valuable information to millions of girls during an important time in their lives — puberty. We’re committed to programs focused solely on education and offer no incentives for use of our products.
That’s why we’ve teamed up with medical experts, school nurses, health educators, parents and students nationwide to create UNIQUELYgirl. Our commitment to this important education program is to consult with our Advisory Panel of professionals to develop P&G’s school programs. Because of this, our programs are credible and highly valued by educators and practical for classroom use.
Always, Tampax and beinggirl have partnered with UNIQUELYgirl to distribute free education materials to students in this program. They provide a getting started kit, the Girl Gear Kit, filled with important information about puberty and feminine protection. The kits also include different pads and tampons so the girls can see the products firsthand. Girl Gear Kits are just one way these brands worked with UNIQUELYgirl to help support puberty education.
Thanks to beinggirl, Always and Tampax, UNIQUELYgirl meets the curriculum needs of teachers nationwide and provides them with the tools and materials they need to bring the learning alive. Girl Gear Kits and program materials bring the lessons to life and resonate with students in a way that only interactive learning can.
